About the artist

Originally from La Mancha (Spain), I studiet art and crafts in Ciudad Real. It was there that I participated in several art courses involving artistic drawing, publicity, linedrawing and painting to name just a few.

Ihave always been captivated by nature and art and through painting, continues to be my greatest interest. At the age of 13.

I was particularly attracted to drawing portraits and my favourites in this field are: Velazquez, Goya, Van Dick, Palmero(Almodobar del Campo) and more recently: John Howard Sanden (New York) and Revello de Toro (Spain).

Currently I live in Puerto de la Cruz , (Tenerife),  Spain where I have had 28 years experience as a portrait painter for an extensive clientele. I am best known for my children and family potraits but my list of clients also includes famous personalities, politicians, doctors, professors and other professional people such as Lydia Bsh, Inés Sastre, Alfonso Arús, etc. (in many cases I must respect my clients anonymility).

For many years now I have been an active member of  the American Association of Portrait Painters promoting the art of painting and I have participated in many events, medical conventions etc. in hotels such as the Hotel Botánico in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), doing wonderfully exciting portraits directly from real live .

 I work fulltime as a professional portrait-painter, maintaining a high standard and level of excellce in all the works I do.
